2007 marked the 16th anniversary of the St. Lucian Jazz Festival. Undoubtedly, the Jazz Festival has played an important role in expanding the visibility of the island. Today, the St.Lucia Jazz Festival is regarded as one of the best. It has been ranked 2nd in Caribbean festivals and 1st by E! Entertainment. It is also regarded as one of the most important events on St.Lucia’s calendar of national activities with events being held all over the island during this period. Growing in popularity is "Jazz in the South" which features a mixture of Jazz and Afro-Caribbean music.

With international exposure we’ve seen international performances. Some of the most celebrated artistes have performed on stage at Pigeon Island. Luther Vandros, Patti Labelle, Earth Wind & Fire, Gladys Knight, Incognito, Four Play, Patrice Rushen, Ashford & Simpson, Lauryn Hill, Stephanie Mills, Smokey Robinson to name a few. The St. Lucia Jazz is a recognized brand. Recently Coca Cola listed the St. Lucia Jazz Festival as one of the top indicators of what being “cool” is all about. We are positive that those who come to the festival each year and those who plan to attend in the future will agree that “cool” is definitely a word which describes the St.Lucia Jazz Festival.
